Batman: Arkham Origins: "Initiation" DLC teased at DC All Access

Over a month since its release in video game consoles and platforms, WB Games epic looking prequel entry to the Batman Arkham franchise, Batman: Arkham Origins, has served up an interesting look at what transpired in a younger Dark Knight's career prior to the events of the two classic Rocksteady Stuidos games, Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. Developed by WB Games Montreal, Origins looks at the more inexperienced Batman facing overwhelming numbers of criminals and assassins on Christmas Eve, with the villain Black Mask putting a hefty bounty on the Caped Crusader's head for good measure.

Now that the game is out, people are looking towards what's to come next, and sure enough, and whole slew of DLC is coming to add some extra content and depth. While many out right now are additional challenge maps, costumes, and items (not to mention the Deathstroke pack), a new DLC exclusive sub-adventure was promised some time ago, and now is being teased at this week's DLC All Access. Entitled "Initiation", "the prequel to the prequel" story sees Bruce Wayne who has yet to don the Cape and Cowl, and is undergoing training in a monastery deep within the Himalayas, fighting ninjas and learning vital tricks that'll be important to his mission... which is a nod to the comics itself and the first film of The Dark Knight TrilogyBatman Begins.

Here's the DC All Access episode, with WB Games Montreal Vice President Ames Kirschen revealing bits of what to expect from the DLC. The show also tackles the Future of Aquaman in comics with Geoff Johns explaining things, and a little exclusive tour of the DC Library happens in New York.

No word on exactly on when the DLC comes out, but it's been speculated for a December release according the episode. You can also get the announced "Season Pass" for all 5 DLC as pictured above, available now at the Arkham Origins store or through your video game platform network.

Batman: Arkham Origins is now available for PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PC. You can also get the game via the recently released Batman: Arkham Collection package.
