Resident Evil: Revelations 2: First trailer and details arrive online

After teasing things and then Push-Start getting the scoop this past weekend, Capcom has finally released the first official details and trailer for their upcoming new spinoff title of their long running Resident Evil/ BioHazard series - Resident Evil: Revelations 2.

The game, which will star Claire Redfield and Barry Burton's daughter Moira, will be set in an abandoned island detention facility, where both ladies must work together in order to escape. According to the official Facebook page of the franchise, the game will be comprised of 4 episodes that will be released individually and weekly through digital download for $4.99 sometime in early 2015. A bundle of the digital game as a whole will also be offered for $24.99, while a retail edition will come out some time after with everything inside.

Also released to coincide with the detail announcements is the very first trailer for the game, showing the return of Claire and scenes that showcase her capture by mysterious forces and meeting up with fellow captive Moira Burton. The game puts the focus back to the series' "Survival Horror" roots, and is intended to focus more on suspense than action.
