Silent Hill: Revelation 3D director talks!

After hearing the news that a new Silent Hill is officially underway and based on the third video game installment's plot, I couldn't be more hopeful to watch another big screen adaptation featuring that haunted little town. Now, the film's new director has opened up and served up his initial reactions a week after the big announcement was made.

Via his own official blog, Silent Hill: Revelation 3D writer and director Michael J. Bassett expresses his own excitement and enthusiasm at being picked to make the next film, citing that he's a fan of the games and enjoyed the last film helmed by Christoph Gans. He also says that he aims to bring a little more darkness and fear into the mix, but try to retain the same feel as the games and hire as much of the previous film's core-creative team as he can. As he puts it off quite well "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". For more on the scoop, visit and Michael's official blog!
