Finally arriving this week for DVD and Blu-Ray, the highly anticipated home video release of AMC's third season of The Walking Dead comes packed with extras and featurettes that fans of the show will most likely be dying to see. To promote the release, a new deleted scene has come online via Entertainment Tonight, showing just how different things would have gone has certain sequences made the cut in the final production.
SPOILERS naturally follow from this, so read/ view at your own risk if you haven't seen Season 3 yet!
In this new clip from the 6th episode of the season entitled "Hounded", Rick Grimes comes back after receiving the "phone call" following his breakdown from Lori's Death, and check's on his fellow survivors at the prison before returning to the boiler room to do some "stuff". The deleted scene expands some tension and themes that weren't exactly implied in the said episode, including hesitation from Rick to accept his newborn child and holding a memorial for Lori's death.
Cool stuff indeed to expect from the Complete Season 3 package. For more information, visit the source post at Comic Book.com and ET.
The Walking Dead Season 3 arrives in home media August 27. Season 4 begins on AMC this October 13.
