Guardians of the Galaxy: Opens Big on Thursday Night and WHY YOU MUST SEE IT ( Aka a Short Review)

It's pretty much THE MOVIE everyone is talking about, and with good reason to boot.

Opening August 2014 in a big way and certainly ready to make the numbers ROCKET (pun intended) in ways that fans and film buffs would certainly be pleased about, Marvel Studios latest and arguably most ambitious movie for their Marvel Cinematic Universe, Guardians of the Galaxy, has cashed in big in the US on Thursday preview night according to a report from Variety, earning as much as $11.2 Million from the screenings! That's saying a lot for the James Gunn film, which stars a bunch of misfits and convicts who are literally the universe's last hope for survival when a dark threat arrives and starts down the path that could lead to the destruction of everything as we know it.

Starring Chris Pratt as Star-Lord/ Peter Quill, with Zoe Saldana as Gamora, Dave "Batista" Bautista as Drax the Destroyer, and the voices of Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel as Rocket Raccoon and Groot, this is one unorthodox cast that makes the movie WORK and FUN.

See this extended look trailer/ clip released last week to get a taste if you're unaware.

Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) - "EXTENDED" 5 MIN. Clip

If you need more convincing of this 80's/ Sci-Fi/ Comic Book infused Awesome Mix of a film, I've seen it myself, and I can honestly say that I have not been this impressed with a Marvel film since the first Iron Man film and The Avengers that's not a direct sequel of anything. This movie sets the bar to explore other Marvel properties that go beyond our realm or the familiar faces we know, and it's just simply a love letter to those who loved everything about 1980's pop-culture and space films such as Star Wars or what not. A DEFINITE MUST SEE.

Guardians of the Galaxy is now playing in theaters worldwide!
