Marvel: New Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World pics; Emily VanCamp cast in Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Looks like the Marvel Cinematic Universe is the buzz this weekend, as three of its much anticipated films for its "Phase 2" set of films have gotten some updates to tease fans of things to come! Their 2013 line-up of movies highlighted by Iron Man 3 and Thor: The Dark World have received some new official pics released by Marvel, while 2014's Captain America: The Winter Soldier has a new female lead attached to it!

After the stunning and equally shocking new poster released a few days ago, Marvel has released this new image from Iron Man 3 featuring actress Rebecca Hall as Maya Hansen - a character known to those who've followed Warren Ellis and Adi Granov's classic Iron Man "Extremis" story some years ago. She's apparently working on something big, and perhaps it's the Extremis itself? We'll know once Iron Man 3 launches into theaters come May 3! Another movie not to be forgotten later this year at November is the next adventure of Chris Hemsworth as the God of Thunder in Thor: The Dark World! Marvel has also released this behind-the-scenes shot of the Australian star garbed in his Asgardian attire, with director Alan Taylor by his side and giving instructions! Finally and for next year's Phase 2 entry on April, Captain America: The Winter Soldier casts its new female lead in the form of actress Emily VanCamp. Speculation and word is that she'll be playing none other than Cap's contemporary love interest, Sharon Carter... Aka Agent 13. She's a deadringer for that role, but until official word is put out, we'll leave her role up to guesses for now. For more information, visit the source post at Comic Book Resources.
