Finally... WE HAVE A GREEN LANTERN.
The word has been spread through several movie blogs and comic sites like Newsarama, and we can finally relax with the full details - Young Hollywood actor and known comic book movie star Ryan Reynolds will play the part of Hal "Flyboy" Jordan in DC Comics' upcoming movie adaptation of Green Lantern! After a grueling three-way battle with Bradley Cooper and famed musician Justin Timberlake, Reynolds came out as the better man and creative's choice to don the emerald ring and take flight as one of the best superheroes the world has ever known.
This news comes as a big surprise for me considering the big hype surrounding who would play Jordan in the film to be directed by Martin Campbell, whose credentials also include Casino Royale and The Mask Of Zorro. Personally, I feel Reynolds would make a fine Jordan. He has the tenacity and looks for the role, as well as matching wits and vocal skills to play the part. Now that he has been chosen by "The Guardians Of The Universe", one has to wonder how it will affect his other upcoming movie, the Deadpool spin-off? I guess time will tell, but I'm liking his prospects as the Green Lantern better.XD
