IMAX screenings of The Hobbit get first nine minutes of Star Trek: Into Darkness
Following in the footsteps of Christopher Nolan's two Batman movie sequels, Paramount Pictures will be attaching a preview of the first nine minutes of Star Trek Into Darkness with IMAX screenings of "The Hobbit" this coming December 14!
Similar to how Warner Bros. marketed The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises with "Prologue" showings of the first few minutes of those movies, the second Star Trek film under director J.J. Abrams is getting the same kind of treatment, and not surprising since most of the film was shot in IMAX as well. The news comes way ahead of an actual date of a first trailer debuting for the film, which is slated to appear before the year ends. Still, Trekkie fans have a good reason to catch The Hobbit this holiday season! For more info, visit the source post at Bleeding Cool!
Star Trek Into Darkness opens on 3D, IMAX, and conventional theaters on May 17, 2013!
