X-Men fans anxiously waiting for the next X-flick have good news upon them, as director Bryan Singer tweeted that stars Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, and Ellen Page are set to return for the next movie, X-Men: Days of Future Past. This confirms speculations that a large number of X-Men film alum are set to return, joining Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Michael Fassbender, James McAvoy, and Hugh Jackman for the post-apocalyptic sequel to X-Men: First Class!
This is a good sign, considering that Anna Paquin, Shawn Ashmore, and Ellen Page played important characters in the X-Men Film franchise as Rogue, Iceman, and Kitty Pryde respectively. Singer thanked director Brett Ratner of X-Men: The Last Stand for letting the characters survive, and Ellen Page's reprisal of Kitty Pryde is crucial, since her character is important alongside Jackman's Wolverine in the storyline adapted from the classic 80's "Days of Future Past" X-Men arc penned by Chris Claremont and drawn by John Byrne!
