It was inevitable. Gamers are going back to Silent Hill by 2011. The question is... will it be good? Check out the new trailer to find out.Shown at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo, Konami hasn't given the full title to this latest installment in their survival horror series, but it's tentatively called "Silent Hill 8", so it's expected to be official and canon to the series extensive and somewhat convoluted history. By the looks of the trailer alone, everything we see here is in-game graphics, and the story sees the main character as a prisoner on the run ala The Fugitive, finding "sanctuary" from the law in Silent Hill, where he'll most likely find himself wishing he was back behind bars after he goes through the local attractions there.
Silent Hill 8 is confirmed for a PS3 and Xbox 360 release sometime in 2011.
