After debuting the first episode of Season 3 on March 31 Sunday, HBO has officially renewed its highly acclaimed medieval fantasy series "Game Of Thrones" for a fourth season! Based on George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" series of novels, the show is set on the fictional world of Westeros, where themes of religion, social hierarchy, and war are explored and families and alliances wage battle for the Iron Throne of the Seven Kingdoms.

The news and announcement of a 4th Season isn't much of a surprise to fans of the series, as George R.R. Martin's epic novel masterpiece is still ongoing with only five books released. Season 3 of GoT is expected to cover roughly the first half of the third book in the series "A Storm of Swords", and with each season covered for 10 episodes each so far, we have more to look forward to before everything is said and done.
