Injustice Gods Among Us: IGN's "Story Summary" video *SPOILERS*

Out for a couple of weeks now and making waves, Injustice: Gods Among Us is definitely a work of art for both the comic book and video game community. As I said in my personal review of the game, it's so impressive that it definitely ranks up there as an easy candidate for "Game Of The Year" for 2013. Warner Bros. Games, DC Comics, and NetherRealm Studios have a gem in their hands, and this is definitely THE DC Universe fighting game everyone has been waiting for.

However, those unable to play or experience it may want to learn about the story, which in itself is absolutely spectacular and EPIC. IGN has got you covered in that area, and have recently released a video that tells the tale, which they have dubbed: "Injustice's Story Summarized for Dummies". Don't take that title literally, but there's definitely SPOILER CONTENT right here if you're actually going to play this wonderful game on the PS3, Xbox 360, or Wii U.

Batman: Arkham Origins: Kevin Conroy won't be returning to voice Batman

It's certainly not the best news to hear as April 2013 ends, and it's literally a game changer in every sense of the word.

Via word from Batman-News and Arkhamverse, a story from this month's issue of South African gaming magazine NAG reports that legendary Batman voice actor Kevin Conroy won't be returning to play the Caped Crusader in this year's upcoming Batman prequel game, Batman: Arkham Origins.

The new studio and developer of the game, WB Games Montreal, explains that they want to tap a younger voice actor for the role, since Arkham Origins focuses on a younger and more inexperienced Batman who has to evade and battle eight deadly assassins sent to kill him on Christmas Eve.

With Conroy last playing the role of Batman in this month's DC Universe brawler Injustice: Gods Among Us, it's truly sad news to hear. After all, he's the longest actor to play Batman, voicing the role for over 20 years since Batman: The Animated Series! It's certainly the biggest change after fellow DC Animated Universe alum Mark Hamill's retired from playing The Joker after Batman: Arkham City. With Rocksteady Studios not developing this game at all and Batman writer Paul Dini not writing the story, it all truly makes Arkham Origins a new game and experience in itself. For more information on the story, visit the source post at Batman-News, NAG, and Arkhamverse!

Batman: Arkham Origins hits PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U on October 25th.

C2E2 2013: Superior Spider-Man meets Spider-Man 2099 on issue #17

It's been a bold new era this year for fans of Spider-Man keeping up with the comics. Not only is there a "new guy" behind the mask, but the status quo has definitely changed in the comics for our friendly neighborhood webslinger.

Many already know what those changes are, and it's Otto "Doc Ock" Octavius successfully swapping brains with Peter Parker/ Spider-Man on the last few issues of Amazing Spider-Man and becoming the "Superior Spider-Man", taking over Peter's life and trying to be a hero in his own right (albeit with difficulty). The ride has been good so far... But writer Dan Slott promises a new "game changer" that will have fans clamoring anew and worse than in "The Amazing Spider-Man #700" when Peter "passed on". Come Superior Spider-Man #9 coming out this May 1st, It's Doc Ock vs Peter Parker in their shared mind, with an outcome we have yet to discover...

Still, that's not the big news. Rather, it's Marvel announcing during their C2E2 panel that Miguel O'Hara, aka Spider-Man 2099, making an appearance and meeting the Superior Spider-Man come issue #17! What can we expect from the future webhead meeting the present Spidey? We'll find out soon enough!

Marvel Movies: Stark Industries Motorcycle on The Amazing Spider-Man 2 set?

*UPDATE (4/29): Io9 updated. It's not part of the movie*

Chalk this up to speculation, but it's an interesting update nonetheless!

Now, Sony Pictures has the rights to producing films centered around the Spider-Man franchise... With Iron Man 3 ushering in "Phase 2" of Marvel Studios' next wave of films, fanboys can only hope something epic could occur!

As it is, the bike was spotted on the New York set where filming is taking place. It could belong to a filmmaker or a fan, or just a random thing appearing on location entirely. Either way it's anybody's guess, so for more insight and information, visit the source post at i09!

Iron Man 3: The Non-Spoiler Review

Officially opening in international theaters yesterday and ushering in Phase 2 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe early for some countries like The Philippines, Iron Man 3 opened and brought Robert Downey Jr. back into the superhero summer blockbuster fold as Tony Stark/ Iron Man. After the significant impact and repercussions felt from last year's superhero team-up movie success that was The Avengers, how can the brilliant yet eccentric hero hope to cope with the new experiences and insight he's gained from that adventure? This is what that movie talks about, as well as continuing the exploits of the armored avenger as he faces a new threat that tests his limits to the very core.

With the movie coming out in US theaters on May 3rd, this review will be careful to dodge SPOILERS, and stick to simple truths and facts of what you can expect from the film as another installment in an already multi-billion earning franchise. If you haven't seen any of the films by Marvel Studios or what makes up the Marvel Cinematic Universe for that matter, do a little back tracking first before watching this movie. Iron Man 3 takes the route back to Tony's world, and it's a whole new ballgame for Mr. Stark to learn and overcome.

I've seen it twice on Opening day in the RP in 2D and 3D, so for the sake of audiences who have yet to see it, I'll keep this review short and SPOILER FREE... with another "more detailed" review to come when May 4 hits.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past: First Look at Halle Berry's return as Storm

Via his official Twitter page, director Bryan Singer reveals the very first look at actress Halle Berry suiting up once more as the element goddess and female mutant Storm for the new X-Flick "X-Men: Days Of Future Past"! The sequel sees the return of several stars from the X-Men film franchise as the story revolves around a dark future which two realities must prevent from happening. Returning X-Men alum include Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Ian McKellen as Magneto, James McAvoy as Young Professor X, and Michael Fassbender as Young Magneto.

Berry's new costume may possibly play into the dark alternate reality previously mentioned, where mutants are enslaved and being eliminated by Sentinels led by their sentient production unit and creator Master Mold. The story is based on Chris Claremont and John Byrne's 1981 classic arc "Days Of Future Past", with Singer and 20th Century Fox adapting elements from it into the film version.

Despite reports that Berry has been worried about her pregnancy posing problems for shooting, it doesn't seem to be the case here in this photo. She looks good for her return as Ororo Munroe, and here's hoping we see more X-Stuff in the months to come. For more information, visit the source post at Bryan Singer's Twitter page and Bleeding Cool.

X-Men: Days Of Future Past is slated for release on July 18, 2014.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2: Marc Webb tweets pic of Jamie Foxx as "Max Dillon"

With news on the buzz on the next Spider-Man movie, actor Jamie Foxx will expectedly lend a very different interpretation of the villain Electro to the big screen next year when Sony Pictures and Marvel bring Andrew Garfield back for his next webslinging adventure in "The Amazing Spider-Man 2"!

That being said, last week saw dozens of on set photos of Foxx all made up in blue and being shot as "Electro" minus the special effects. Fans already had a pretty good idea that this version of the villain wasn't from the regular Marvel Universe and bore a similar appearance to the "Ultimate Marvel" version. However, director Marc Webb adds a new layer of mystery to the mix, as he tweets a picture of Foxx not as Electro, but that of his civilian and normal identity of Max Dillon.

What exactly the background of this version of the character is hasn't been tipped off yet, but from the glasses and possible labcoat he may be an employee of OsCorp like Curt Connors/ The Lizard was in the first film, thereby explaining where he'll be getting his powers later on. For more information, visit the source post at Marc Webb's official Twitter page and Comic Book.com.

"Man of Tai Chi" - First Trailer for Keanu Reeve's first film as director

It's been a while since we've heard from Keanu Reeves, and it looks like "The Matrix" star has been busy. The actor who played "Ted" in the "Bill and Ted" movies and of course "The One" Neo in "The Matrix Trilogy" is set to making his directorial debut this year, with a martial arts flick that looks brutal and reminiscent of flicks from the genre in the 80's and 90's. Say hello to "Man of Tai Chi", a Chinese-American production starring Tiger Chen and Reeves himself.

Thor: The Dark World: First official teaser poster released!

With "Phase 2" of the Marvel Cinematic Universe officially beginning next week in international territories with the release of "Iron Man 3", Walt Disney Pictures and Marvel Studios further up the ante by releasing the first official poster to their second film in the new line-up coming this November... "Thor: The Dark World"! The new poster is looking BAD ASS, with Thor holding his trusty and mighty hammer Mjolnir and summoning lightning with determination!

Returning to the role of the heroic God of Thunder based on the Norse Deity of the same name, Chris Hemsworth once again stars as Thor Odinson, with the new film picking up a year after the events of the first film and The Avengers. Thor's new journey sees him fighting a mysterious old enemy as he races to save the Nine Realms from evil forces at work! The film also reunites him with Jane Foster, once again played by Natalie Portman, as well as his mischievous half-brother Loki, who's played again by the equally talented Tom Hiddleston. The legendary Sir Anthony Hopkins also returns as his father Odin, so it's going to be a grand wait for the new film directed by Game Of Thrones helmer Alan Taylor!

It's also being reported that the first official trailer for the film goes online next week, which also means it'll be attached to screenings of Iron Man 3! For more information, see the official Thor: The Dark World Facebook page!

DC Comics: Meet New 52 Duela Dent... The Joker's Daughter!

Whether this be a tease of things to come or not, this is straight from DC Comics itself. Screaming out of their latest "What's New In The New 52" post in their official website, DC Comics has revealed a drawing of Duella Dent as she would appear in The New 52 DC Universe, sporting a certain Clown Prince Of Crime's rotting face and laying claim to the title of being "The Joker's Daughter"!

For those unfamiliar with Duella's past, she is well known to longtime fans of Batman and the Teen Titans. Suffereing from episodes of schizophrenia, she uses the common alias of The Joker's Daughter, but also went the pseudonym's of being the daughter of Riddler and Penguin, as well as using the bames "Catgirl" and "Harlequin" (not to be confused with fan favorite Harlequin, Dr. Harleen Quinzel). She acted as a member of the Teen Titans in Post-Crisis history, as well as its foil group Titans East. While her identity and parentage remains a mystery in regular DC Continuity, her multiverse counterpart from Earth-3 is actually the real daughter of the Joker in that world, named The Jokester. Her fate was sealed in the pages of Countdown though, where she was murdered by a Monitor.

Now, whether or not DC's drawing here signals her return to comics is still in question, but it offers a glimpse of the possible insanity to come should she be introduced. For more on the story, visit the source post at DC Comics.com.

Happy Birthday Superman! Action Comics #1 celebrates 75th Anniversary

As Superman prepares to grace theaters once more with a new interpretation of the character with "Man Of Steel", the comic world celebrates the character's birthday as April 18 marks the 75th anniversary of  his first appearance in Action Comics #1!

Published by DC Comics' predecessor National Allied Publications, the first issue of Action had a publication date of June, 1938 stamped on its iconic cover of Superman carrying a car and terrifying criminals, but was actually published on this same day back on April 18, 1938. Currently known as the most expensive comic book to date and selling for $2 Million just for an original copy, Action Comics #1 was a compilation of amazing stories that helped usher in not just Superman, but a collection of other powerful individuals that helped usher in the age of the Super-Hero.

Star Wars: New Trilogy Movies and Spinoffs by Disney come out annually starting 2015

Looks like big Star Wars news has hits once more.

According to Disney's own Alan Horn when he was interviewed at this year's Cinema Con, the studio that already owns LucasFilm Ltd. and the keys to the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises is looking to make the next 'Wars Trilogy saga and its subsequent spinoffs a yearly thing... Much like the other property owned by the company which is Marvel and its film centered "Marvel Cinematic Universe"!

According to reports by Bleeding Cool and Geek Tyrant, Disney is looking to release Episode VII with J.J. Abrams directing as scheduled, but will follow things up with a Star Wars film spin-off the next year on 2016. Whether it will be the rumored character film that may concentrate on a character like Han Solo or Boba Fett is anyone's guess, but the next chapter of the main trilogy being Episode VIII follows the year after on 2017. From that pattern another spin-off follows, and then the final chapter of the new trilogy comes in with Episode IX.

So there you have it. Potential and straight Star Wars films each year starting 2015. It's two years from now, so there's a lot to look forward to and updates still in the making.

DC Comics: Trinity War details revealed; six issue Justice League crossover storyline

Since the revelation of the composite covers that make up three of DC Comics' three Justice League titles for the month of July, a lot of questions have been circling around the minds of DC fans and readers on how the first big crossover event of The New 52 called "Trinity War" would truly play out.
Now, details have emerged thanks to USA Today and Bleeding Cool over what the DC Universe can expect come July.

Beginning on Justice League #22, Trinity War will finally commence, and cross over to two other Justice League titles with Justice League of America #6 and Justice League Dark #22. The action continues with the next issue of the three JL titles the following month. Geoff Johns writes Justice League, and will team up with Jeff Lemire to co-write Justice League of America. Lemire will write solo for Justice League Dark.

In the article in USA Today, Johns describes Trinity War as an "action mystery", with the three figures that form the Trinity of Sin - Pandora, The Phantom Stranger, and The Question right at the center of it. Their roles will figure highly as the three JL factions clash and interact with one another, and only the creative team knows how things will go down once everything is said and done. For more information, visit the source post at Bleeding Cool and USA Today!

Trinity War, a six issue crossover storyline between three Justice League titles, begins on July.

SPOILER ALERT: Batman and Robin #19 cover reveals... The New Robin?!

After the fallout of the DC Comics New 52 Batman storyline Death of The Family, significant trauma over trust issues and The Joker's attack in that storyline left the Bat Family divided over trust issues with their mentor and father figure, Batman. Things only worsened during the pivotal issue of Grant Morrison's Batman Incorporated #8, in which the current Robin and Bruce Wayne's son Damian Wayne was killed in the line of duty. The past Batman issues have since been dedicated to the repercussions of that loss, and how Batman and his allies are trying to cope with the loss of one of their own and how to pick up the pieces after that.

Now that the mantle of Robin is vacated... Who will be The Dark Knight's new sidekick? That question has been left looming in the minds of many... And many hands point to Scott Snyder's little birdie and new character Harper Row, whose been spotlighted in the main Batman title.

But, could it be someone else... Someone familiar? DC Comics and writer Peter J. Tomasi of Batman and Robin may have just opened a new can of worms for fans to dig into, as the cover to this month's WTF April issue of Batman and Robin #19 has been revealed, courtesy of Newsarama and DC Comics.

SPOILER MODE ON.

DC Comics reveals July 2013 JL covers forming the "Trinity War"

The BIG EVENT reveal for DC Comics this year has arrived.

Ever since the teasing began prior to last year's Free Comic Book Day, little has been detailed as to what exactly the "Trinity War" is. However, once FCBD 2012 happened. a special "DC Comics: The New 52 FCBD Edition" was released giving readers more insight into the conflict to come, including the introduction of the Trinity Of Sin - composed of The Phantom Stranger, The Question, and a new character introduced in the DC universe-changing Flash centered storyline "Flashpoint" named Pandora. The latter character served as the bridge and physical presence behind the construction of the new "New 52" universe, and the comic also teased a war that would divide the Justice League and have other factions join in the conflict as well.

Now, the BIG COVER REVEAL has come, and it's a splash cover that involves not one, but THREE books joined together to form an image of EPIC proportions.

Justice League film experiences setback, May not get Nolan or Bale; R.I.P Carmine Infantino

Looks like the wheels are turning down for the potential return of Christopher Nolan and Christian Bale, as Batman-News has reported that the director of The Dark Knight Trilogy and the Batman actor himself may not likely return to work on "Justice League". This marks a sign of setbacks for the big superhero team up flick featuring DC Comics popular roster of heroes, and how Warner Bros. will approach things after and however "Man Of Steel" performs when its released this June.

DC Comics: Zatanna gets New "New 52" Costume change

When DC Comics began the New 52 era back in 2011, several costume changes were implemented and scheduled for many of their recognizable characters. Wonder Woman in particular was going to have pants ala J. Michael Straczynski's run minus the jacket, but fans and readers have been vocal enough to have that change iced and the "no pants look" remained.

Now following in the footsteps of that as well as the other news of Power Girl returning to her classic look, it appears that Zatanna, the famous female magician and member of the Justice League, is getting a costume redux after losing her famous "Fishnets" look in her legs. This new look shown above currently appears in the comic series Justice League Dark, and the fishnets were moved up to her arms (as seen in the pic above).

However, it appears DC has listened to fans' comments and is doing a total new outfit for the magic user.
